This course is suitable for quarry managers or supervisors, health & safety professionals, appointed persons responsible for risk assessments, operatives involved identifying and managing hazards and contractors working regularly on quarry sites.

This course aims to provide its delegates with the knowledge and skills required to conduct and record a risk assessment, develop safe systems of work and to understand when permits to work are required.

This session covers the fundamentals of risk assessment, including legal requirements, hazard identification, and workplace risk evaluation. It also includes practical risk assessment exercises, safe systems of work (including permits to work), proper documentation and review processes, and strategies to engage workers and demonstrate a company's commitment to safety.
