The Introduction to Quarry Regulations and ACOP course is a one day course based on improving knowledge of the Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP. It displays an overview of the key features required when attending a quarry. The webinar variant of this course is only available by LAPTOP OR COMPUTER, please note that smart devices such as phones or tablet are not permittable for our courses.
Who Should Attend?
This course is fundamentally aimed at newly appointed team members as a basic introduction to quarry regulations and approved code of practice, however all levels of employees are able to attend.
Aims
The aims of this course are to provide candidates with the basic understanding of Regulations, Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) and guidance regarding what and cannot be done when on a quarry site. The Quarry Regulations main occupation is to familiarise delegates with legislation relevant to quarries.
Includes
This course contains various information regarding the law when on a quarry site. It also expresses the importance of health and safety documentation and health surveillance, as that is the most important aspect when in a compromising environment. Furthermore, the course includes a basic overview of the Quarries Regulations 1999 legislation, carrying out workplace inspections and vehicle safety in extractive environments. Attendees of the course will be expected to bring a copy of the Health and Safety, The Quarries Regulations 1999 to the course.
