The objective is to provide individuals with a basic understanding of contractors in the sector, including relevant legislation and CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations. It also aims to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage contractors and establish safe, efficient working relationships.

The course covers the contractor's role, key legislation, updates on CDM regulations, and the responsibilities involved in managing contractors. It also includes guidance on selecting competent contractors, conducting inductions, and implementing practical management steps.
