MP Skills Industry Assessor Recruitment Advert

MP Skills is the leading provider of mobile plant training, plant assessment and vocational qualifications and education to the extractives, contracting and mineral processing industries.

We are seeking an individual who believes he/she has the skills and desire to become a leading industry assessor and trainer.

Most likely with five years or more experience, they may be an existing assessor with quarrying, mining or construction experience or an ex-quarry manager/supervisor seeking a change of direction or new challenge.

Ideally, the most valuable, specific assessing experience we are looking for is plant operation (loading shovel, excavator, dumper) processing plant (Asphalt, Aggregates and or Concrete), maintenance activities as well as a good level of Health, safety and environmental knowledge.

The individual should hold current blue plant operator cards and ideally hold an Assessor Qualification; however, for the right person, training will be provided to develop their range of skills.

Predominantly a field-based role so travelling from your home to sites across Scotland will be essential with some occasional night work. Overnight stays are fully expensed, including meals.

You will possess
•    Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, able to liaise with personnel at all levels
•    Strong customer facing skills and experience with an appetite to exceed targets
•    Ability to work with limited supervision 
•    Able to prioritise workloads
•    Full driving licence
•    A self-motivated, ‘can do’ mentality
